Show FLORAL DE00RATI0N BF CITY DISCUSSED Flower Committee of HicG.A.R. Holds an Important Meeting. Matters conneeted with the floral decoration deco-ration of the. city durin? the period-of the forty-third national Grand Army encampment en-campment were taken up at a meeting' of tho flower committee of the G. A. R. at tho rooms -of the women's citizens committee Wednesday afternoon. It was shown that members of tho committee had walled noon the mnyor of the city and the park commissioner and discussed with them the question of laying out tho vacant spaces iu the different parks of tho city In flower beds, made to represent repre-sent the different emblems of the Grand Army and allied organizations. These will be represented by red and yellow flowers, these colors being the official colors of the G. A. It. It Is proposed to arrange with the owners own-ers of the other resorts about the city. Including Wandamere and Lagoon, to hove the vacant spaces in their resorts similarly decorated. A committee of six-ladies six-ladies was appointed, which will meet Tuesday morning at lt:no to arrange the names of all people who have received flower seeds from the committee, so that a plan can be arranged for visiting the people and seeing that the flower seeds-arc seeds-arc properly used. A meeting of all members of the flower committee will .be held at the rooms of tho women's citizens committee Saturday Satur-day afternoon at 2 o'clock, to take up the matter of dividing the city mto sections sec-tions to be visited by the members of the flower committee relative to the planting of flowers. All members of the committee commit-tee are urged to be present promptly, as a meeting of tho general committee will be hold at V, o'clock, and It Is necessary that the first mooting be llnished before tho second is called to order. |
