Show DEFENDANT IS ILL AND CASE IS CONTINUED In the case of the T'nitcd States against Don C. Kohins, which came up Wednesday in the federal court before Judge Marshall for a hearing, the motion of defendant C. M. Freed for ;i continuance, continu-ance, was granted. Inasmuch :is Mr. Freed is a ve'ry sick man and had been ordered to California, by his physician, hid ce Marshall was lenient in the- mutter, but" he intimated in po uncertain terms that ibis was the lat continuance that would be granted in the c:ise. The motion for a severance which was submitted ty the court by T2. W. Senior, who wished to have his part of the case tried separately, was denied by Judge Marshall. i He showed conclusively that such a proceeding as a severance was out of the question. |
