The Miit is brought in the name of the president of tho United .States, and nearly one hundred witnesses have been subpoenaed under the authority of Chief dusticQ Melville Fuller of hc United States supreme court to testify in the ca.ve. The suit was brought originally in I'tah, where the lines of tho" two roads form a junction, and hearings have been held in nearly every large city of the United States where the two companies own plivsicnl properties or hnvc competing com-peting freight agencies.
