Galen, constituting Ihe state board of examiners, and K. C. Day and A. P. Curlln of tho capltol advisory board, returned re-turned today, after an absence of more than two weeks In the middle wesl and south Inspecting new capitols. with a viqw of embodying the latest Ideas In the rc-lnodellzatlon rc-lnodellzatlon of the Montana structure, for which the recent legislature authorized author-ized a bond Issue of ?500.000. The cllles visited Included St. Paul, Frankfort, Ivy. : Madison. Wis., and Pierre. S. D. They also eop.Cerred with a number or eastern builders and architects. archi-tects. In Interviews, they authorized tho statement' that some splendid Ideas were obtained as a result of the trip, and Ihcso will be embodied In the new structure In this city. The board will meet Monday for the opening of bids for the bonds, and then the llrst sl-eps will be taken toward actual construction work. As soon as the bonds are disposed of. the board will selecL plans, which will Involve ihe remodeling of Ihe Interior nf the present structure, as well as determining the material for the out-sldc of Ihe new wings. |
