Show Brigham City Notes. Special to The Tribune. HRIGHAM CITY. April 23. Tuesday evening, in the Commercial club rooms, a number of Republlcaiui met to effect a club organization. Jese F. Turner, representing tho national Republican committee, com-mittee, was present and talked at some length on the purposes of the Natlonnl Republican league to organize clubs in every city and town in the union for Hie purpose of irea Hilng the gospel .of Republicanism Re-publicanism and enlightening young men on the doctrines of tho party. Hans U. Larson was made temporary chairman of the meeting and Royal JepcHon temporary secretary. Several perons were nominal nomi-nal ed for president, and. when balloting was finished li showed a majority of voten in favor of J. Francis Mcrrell. Lorenzo V. Anderson was elected vice president, Hyruni J. Hanson secretary, and Alvln Ip'kcu treasurer. The executive committee commit-tee consists of Jnhn.W". Peters. L. W. Flshburn. The committee on by-laws consists of J. Francis Merrell, L. Vw Anderson. An-derson. F. V, Flshburn, John W. Peters and C. Hoist, Tho meeting was a lively one anil the Republicans aro delighted over the organization. A change has taken place at the local office of the Stutlebaker Bros. F. M. Tvson. for the pasl two years mannger, lu'is renlgned and will devote his time to the nursery buninesH, being one of the promoters of-tho Inlenuountaln Nurseries company, which was organized here about n year or two ago. The Ogden office of the company will take charge of the office of-fice In thfH city. Mr. Tjsnn will leave tin company the latter part of the mouth. |
