Show BOX ELDER COILNTY COMMISSIONERS MEET Special lo The Tribune. BRIGHAM CITY, April 2S. The board of county commissioners met In regular session In the clerk's office this week, and a spcclnl meeting was held Wednesday, Wednes-day, at which all previously deferred business busi-ness matters were taken under advisement advise-ment and all disposed of. A communication from the state board of horticulture was read relative to the appointment of a tree Inspector. Tho letter was ordered llled for the present. A letter was received and read from Ihe Southern Pacific Railroad company, objecting to the couniy road crossing tho tracks at Luein. The clerk will write tho company and accept a right of way a mile on cither side of Lucin. between sections 9 and 10 anil 17 and IS. Deputy City Marshal Charles Cheal was appointed deputy slioriu', to take the place of Charles Wight, Jr. Fred S. Korth was appointed to take charge of tin couniy poor farm for the season of 100D. The county road near the smelter near Hot Springs was reported by W. li. Dial to bo in an Impassable condition, and the clerk was Instructed to write Supervisor C. J' We.lls, authorizing him to repair Ihe dangerous portion of that road. Henry C. House, road supervisor of Corlnne. appeared and asked for an appropriation ap-propriation to gravel roads in his district. Mr. House was instructed to grade the road in front of the Wheeler ranch. A. communication was read from William Wil-liam Coltan of Snowvllle, asking the county coun-ty to purchase sufficient lumber lo repair re-pair bridges in his district. Commissioner Commission-er Adams will investigate Thomas J. Nigh, road supervisor of Plymouth district, asked for an appropriation appropria-tion for roads In that district. The clerk will notify him to use the balance of the appropriation imulo last fall. Commissioners Richards and Adams were aulhorlr.etl to employ men and teams to operate the four roud graders which the county owns and begin repairing tho roads In different portions of tho couniy. |
