Show I SALESMANSHIP CONTEST JS BROUGHT TO CLOSE The last of the three cyenlngs of the salesmanship contest, was brought to a successful close Friday evening at the Y. M. C. A. In all, twenty-three men participated. The contest consisted of an exhibition sale before a board of judges, composed of representative business busi-ness men, the requirements being that the order must be closed in eight mln utes and yet bring out all of the essential steps in making a sa:e. According to the chart which the judges used, these points were taken Into consideration: Appearance, Ap-pearance, approach, getaway, arrangement arrange-ment of talk, knowledge of article, handling, hand-ling, competition, closing arguments, persistency, per-sistency, enthusiasm and loyalty to house. These marks mav be altered before the final term's grade is decided, in view of the general scholarship scholar-ship and attendance of the salesmen.
