An appeal to the rank and tile of the Republican party for aid In tlnanclnir tho national campaign will be sent throughout the Western States tomorrow by Fred W. Mr. Upham In his appeal says: "Both tho New York and Chicago headquarters head-quarters of the Republican national committee com-mittee havo been opened and the work of the campaign Is well advanced. Tho olcc-tlon olcc-tlon of Mr. Taft and Mr. Sherman Is essential es-sential to the welfare of this country and perfect organization Is necessary to elect them. To securo a perfect organization, the national committee must bo liberally supplied with funds. Congress recently enacted a statute making It unlawful to solicit money for political purposes from corporations. All the funds, therefore, for tho campaign must be supplied by individuals indi-viduals Touanro requested to bring this matter to tho attontion of your business associates and ask them to send a chock. Please bo aa liberal as possible, as it will lake it large amount of money to pay tho expenses of organization, the postage, printing, speaking bureaus and various details that aro absolutely necessary to success," |
