CHICAGO, Dec 12, The action of tho wheat markot was a repetition of that of each of tho previous days of tho week, tho market being subjected to heavy realizing real-izing sales and also frco sales for short account. Prices declined sharply at times during tho day but at each tlmo was followed fol-lowed by urgent covering by shorts and buying by several of tho leading bull?. During the final half hour demand was general and the markot closed firm at almost al-most tho top of tho day. Final quotations on May were $1,00(0)1.061 and on July, 9Sj!c. The range for the day on the May option op-tion was $1.041g)1.068. and on July 97 OSfJc At tho low point today prices were 525c to 6c below the closing quotations of last Saturday. A greatly Improved demand de-mand for cash wheat In tho local market was ono of tho chief bullish Influences of late trading. Corn was weak during tho first- part of the day, but became llrm late in the session ses-sion and closed firm at almost the best prices of tho day. Compured with tho previous pre-vious close, final quotations today were up gifpEc. May closed at OlEc and July at 61c. Cash corn at the sample tables here was in slow demand at declines of 5'3c The weakness of wheat and corn caused an easy tpno in oats early In the day, but a brisk general demand developed which soon caused considerable firmness.
