Show RHYOLITE EXCHANGE. Brokers Get Busy Beforehand Witto Stocks From Lec Echo. Special to The Tribune. RHYOLITE. Nov., Feb. 2S. In spite of tho fact that the Rhyolitc Mining Stock Exchange is not 3'et open for business and that the stocks that aro on the boards have not yet been entirely entire-ly passed upon by tho listing committee, there is a great deal of trading in stocks between the various brokers who have scats in the new exchange. This trading is confined largely to tho Lee stocks and because of the strikes made upon 3'iCho Lee. Lee Gold Grotto, Burro, Hicks and Leavitta and others of tho big properties in the district tho stocks show an upward tendency in spite of the fact that, thcro is no call to give the standard value of the separate sep-arate day's trading. All trades are being made upon the curb and tho rato at which sales have been made in Echo-Lee has caused tho brokers to order the sale of treasury stock in this company raised from 35 to 25 cents, while Loo Gold Grotto probably prob-ably will bo taken from the market entirely en-tirely by the first of tho month. Work on the new exchange building is being rushed to completion and the first call probably will be heard beforo March 1, by which date tho listing committee should have completed its tour of inspection in-spection through the mining country and should bo ready to roporfc upon the desirability of such property that has been offered for the market." Tn speaking of the stock situation E. W. Griffiths said: " There is a boom coming in the Leo stocks. That, ccun-Iry ccun-Iry has been kept back longer than any other district in the State because of the lack of water nnd transportation facilities. The new road through the country, and the extension of tho railroads rail-roads will allow the shipping of ore already stocked for shipment and will cnablo machinery that has long been needed to be sent into the mines."
