H0M0LD IN DEPARTMENTS Former Appointed Engineer and Latter in Charge of Electrical Elec-trical Engineering. A partial reconstruction of the official of-ficial family of tho Utah Light and Railway companv goes into effect to-do3 to-do3 whon F. L. Morse, assistant to tho president, severs his connection with tho company and returns to Now York to attend to largo business interests there. The office of assistant to tho president is abolished and Joseph Wells, who has heretooro been acting as general gen-eral manager, becomes general manager in fact. No announcement has been made of this change, but circular No. lj making other changes, benrs the signature of Mr. Wells as "General Manager." William Asbton, chief engineer of the Oregon Short Line, has been named as consulting engineer of tho Utah Light and Railwa3 company. The general circular issued reads as follows: ElYectlvo this date, tho office of Chief Engineer Is abolished. Mr. Ij, L. Dagron Is hereby appointed engineer of this company. He will have direct charge of all surveys, real estate, rights-of-way and records of same; construction, con-struction, additions, betterments nnd malntenanco of railway lines; dams, re servoirs, canals, pipe lines nnd buildings, and such other work as may be assigned to him by tho general manager from timo to time Mr. O. A. Honnold Is hereby appointed electrical engineer. Ho will havo general charge of construction, maintenance and operation of electrical power plants; trnnHmlefilon lines and distributing bh-tems bh-tems pertaining: thereto; also general charge of Hectrlc lighting and power distribution, dis-tribution, and such other work as tho general manager may assign to him from time to time. Mr. Dagron has had active charge of the reconstruction of tho Oregon Short Lino freight and passenger yards in this city. His work is now so well forward and the general plans for its completion in such an advanced stage that tho finishing of the work can be intrusted in-trusted to another engineer and Mr. Dagron relieved for the larger sphere of work. He is an engineer of large and wide experience and thoroughly competcnt in everv departmcnt, and tho work now placed in his charge will be carried out with the highest degreo of efficiency. Mr. Honnold has been in tho employ em-ploy of the company for some 3'cars and will give satisfaction in his sphere of action. |
