Show MIND IS A BLANK, Victim, of Auto Accident Loses Memory Mem-ory and Is Paralyzed. NEW YORK, Nov. 1. With his memory mem-ory of the accident which ho met almost completely obliterated, George Arente, Jr., a young millionaire of this city, who. was Injured in the (long distance automobile auto-mobile race recently, has been removed from the hospital at Mineola, L. I., to a hotel at Garden City. His wife and parents par-ents are constantly at hl3 side and the patient's condition Is causing liem great anxiety. Not only is Arents' mind said to be unresponsive, but a partial paralysis has mado It Impossible for him to move about, although he is able to sit up in a chair for several hours each day. Even then he demands constant attention of his nurses. A blood clot on the brain Is said to be the cause of the trouble, but the attending physicians are hopeful hope-ful that this will dissolve, and with its disappearance wJll come a return' of memory and his other faculties. The overturning of Arents' racing car was the one fatal accident of the race for the Vanderbllt cup. His mechanician mechan-ician was killed when the car overturned over-turned because of an exploded tire. |
