Show SUCCUMBED TO WOUNDS. Tacoma. linn Shot by His Son Dies Prom Injuries. TACOMA. Wash.. Nov. 1. John B. Curlson, who was shot by his son, Emll J. Carlson, yesterday afternoon while protecting pro-tecting his mother and himself from tho father, who had burst opon tho door and threatened to kill them, died at St. Joseph's hospital shortly before midnight. Tho doctors found the bullet had ontercd about an inch and a half to the loft of tho navel and punctured the intestines In twenty places. He rallied from tho operation, oper-ation, but did not seem to realize what had happened. Young Carlson, who had surrendered to the Sheriff, was Uikon beforo Justice Griffin' about half paat 4 o'clock and was released on $1G00 ball on tho chargo of uapault with a deadly weapon. A Coroner'8 Inquest will bo held tomorrow to-morrow nt 10 o'clock. Meantime no other chargo will bo filed against young Carlson. |
