Show CARLOADS OF FINE ORE FROM NEW YORK MINE Special to The Tribune. PARK CITY. Nov 1. The strike at the New York Ja holding out well. Several cars of first-class ore were hoisted yesterday yes-terday and the management this morning morn-ing Is quite hopeful that this kind of work will continue for some time. The people of Park City have always had a great deal of confidence In this property. The work of driving the tunnel continues at tho Nelson property. The shaft Is now down eighty leet, with orty-tlvo feet of I water tlieruln, and just as soon as this Is tapped by tho tunnel the work of sinking will be resumed. About twenty sacks of good oro aro on hand ready for shipping. J. II. Muffet has succeeded In getting his leuso of the Creole property renewed for another six months and Is still busy taking out second-class ore at that place. The registration here todav Is quite heavy, and from the systematic way In which both political parties are working to secure the largest possible registration it looks as If very few voters in this precinct will bo unregistered tomorrow night. Charles Glloch and Peter Kaas returned this morning from the Alta district, where they havo been doing assessment work for the past ten days. Halloween was generally observed by the youngsters of Park City, but while a great many pranks were played there was no serious damage done to property. L. M. Carpenter returned tills morning from a brief business trip to Salt Lake. |
