Ho escaped from the train at Woods Cross and lay concealod beside tho track until morning. Passion for Women. Defendant, on tho other oth-er hand, claims that ho vas obliged to pay damages duo to tho owners of tho Thompson block becauso of tho carelessness careless-ness of tho plaintiff Whllo Butterfleld was putting a gravol roof on the Commerce Com-merce building a galvanized chimney top fell off the roof onto tho roof of the Thompson block, breaking a skylight and doing other damage. Attorney Nlelson, t1io represented the plaintiff, asked a continuance of flvo days in which to proparo and submit a wrltton brief in the matter, and the contlnuanco was granted. The plaintiff said that Johnson had never paid for tho goods.
