Plummer entertained en-tertained on Friday afternoon in honor of Miss Florence Robinson. Japanese banners, umbrellas, fans, kites and lanterns lan-terns made the Plummer home very like a home in far-away Japan, while the costumes and manner of the hostess andvthe dozen girls assisting made the guests almost feel that they were being be-ing entertained in a Japanese home. The iris and the cheyrr blossoms were thcre.too, the Oriental rugs and cushions, cush-ions, tho Joss and the Incense ail were reminders of the land of the Mikado. Tea was served in true Japanese style, with other light refreshments from the same country. It was a most unique idea, charmingly carried out, and will be recalled by the forty guests as one of the pleasanlest events of the season. Sixty-three was the game enjoyed, prizes being won by Miss Judith Evans and Miss Ina Rudy. Beautiful guest prizes were also presented to Miss Allen and Miss Donnellun. The tallies were very appropriate, ap-propriate, one-half being small violins, tied with yellow and white ribbons; the other half .heart-shaped, hand-palntcd in marguerites. The decorations for this card party were especially effective, effec-tive, those in the parlor and dining-room dining-room consisting entirely of bright yellow yel-low sunflowers, VIth electric lights and candles shaded in yellow, while In tho hall white and green were seen.
