Show COPPER OUTPUT EXCEEDS A MILLION Weekly Production of tho Rod Metal In Utah Tho Crop of 0re3 and Bullion. United States 210,731 ITtali Con 303.W5 Bingham Con... 314,677 Total 704,353 With the volume sent out from the American's Murray furnaces and the excess over that actually shipped, the record shows that the production of copper In Utah now easily exceeds 1,000,000 pounds a week, and yet not one of the ultra copper mines Is producing pro-ducing at a capacity, nor will they until un-til additional equipment has been provided pro-vided Nor is this being neglected. The present week will witness another start-up at the furnucea of tho Yampa smelter, while the mill at the Ohio Copper Cop-per company, with new devices, Is again In commission, with the crowd by which the Utah Copper company Is controlled to order Its enlargement immediately im-mediately after its arrival In the State, which event Is scheduled for next week. In the open market the ore and bullion bul-lion settlements during the week aggregated ag-gregated 5447,700, compared with S1SI,-700 S1SI,-700 during the previous one. The day's settlements amount to 556,000, McCor-nlck McCor-nlck & Co. reporting them as they follow: fol-low: American bullion, ?23,700; gold, silver, lead and copper ores, $32,300. In the metal market silver ruled at 55V6 cents an ounce, lead at 13.50 per 100 pounds, and casting copper at 12 cents a pound. |
