Show Marconi scored a marvelous triumph on his recent trip to this country. He continued to receive messages from Cornwall by wireless telegraphy when the ship he was on was seventeen hundred hun-dred miles at sea, or more than half way across the ocean. Thus- it seems established that communication can be kept up all the waj across the Atlantic, by having on the American side as good a station as the one on the other side, at Poldhu. This has led lo the suggestion, sugges-tion, a dally paper .on tho .Cunaxder steamers, with a news service of about two hundred words daily. The ocean seems small when ono considers that It can be bridged in this way. |
