Show WESTERN UNION MUST PAY FOR LOSS Tho failure of the Western Union Telegraph company to dellwr certain telegrams to R. S. Brooks & Son will cost tho company $5G2. The Supreme court yesterday handed cTowd an opinion affirming the decision of tho lower court in favor of tho plaintiffs. The plaintiffs had a herd of horses at Green River, Wyo., which were to havo been sold to an Ogden man for ?11 per head. Falling to hear from tho Ogden party one of the plaintiffs sold the horses for $0 per head. The necessary telegrams were sent, but not delivered. The court holds that the plaintiffs uro entitled to the differeneo between the selling price and the price that would have been secured had the messages reached thelr'deatlnation. This was the second appeal, the first having resulted in a new trial. |
