Show Last June tho 14th rhe Tribune pointed out the situation In respect to the water supply and the proposed city bonds Some time flfter that the Herald Her-ald ranged itself In a bitter false and outrageous fight against the bonds and denounced all who had any connection with the proposition printed false and misleading statements about the city finances and needs and gave crooked I replies when called upon for its authority author-ity for the allegations And now the II r Herald has the gall to claim our original origi-nal statement of facts as support of Its I later outrageous position during the bondelection campaign IJ says it I could afford to jivalt for a verification of its statements But Is there was no I verification or tho Heralds statements If there had been since our words were l before the public long before Its fight began tho Herald I would have been 1 t only too glad to use them prior to tho election The idiotic claim of the Heralds Her-alds Js only another attempt of Its I rascally managers to impose upon the public |
