LowerPork 7i > S Higher Oats Weak chicago March 20The strength of wheat shown at the close yesterday was still in evidence at the opening this morning although prices were a trifle off from the final figures than quoted Liverpool reported d advance ad-vance which was not sufficient to show full reflection with our advance The weeks shipments from both coasts were light at 1629000 bushels and Argentine Ar-gentine exports 304000 bushels was better bet-ter than they have recently been These facts would ordinarily cause the tone to display easiness but the local speculative sentiment is pronouncedly in favor of higher price and the buying buy-ing this morning was unquestionably superior to the selling Receipts in the northwest were heavier at 372 cars against 109 last Saturday and 661 a year ago Chicago received 13 cars and inspected out S376S bushels The action was irregular until near the close when offerings became heavier and prices dropped half a cent under I yesterdays
