Show AN OLD CITIZEN GONE I I James Monroe Pyper Suddenly Called I I Over the River James Monroe Pyper a very old and I respected citizen died very suddenly I of apoplexy yesterday morning while performing his duties as janitor at I Bishop Prestons office in the tithing I yard His hours of duty were from 61 1 a m until 4 p m He went to the office at the usual hour yesterday I morning and about 830 he was found by the clerks lying on the floor in a room adjoining the main office quite I I dead Dr C F Wilcox was called but I I the spark of life having fled his art was of no avail further than to determine I deter-mine that apoplexy was the cause of death The deceased was a brother of John Pyper of Nephi and of the late Alexander I Alex-ander Pyper He was born in Largs Ayreshire Scotland on Feb 4 1833 I and came to America with his family when only 10 years old and became I a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints He leaves a wife and three children two of whom are grown to mans estate I The funeral will take place on Tires day at 2 p m from the Twentieth ward meeting house |
