Suit on a Promissory Note The case of Frank Thompson et al vs Ernest V Fohlin et al was called for trial before Judge Hiles yesterday Judg Howatt appeared for the plaintiff plain-tiff and Attorney H A Smith for the defendant The plaintiff sued as executor of the last will and testament of James Thompson of Iowa deceased to recover re-cover SOO on a promissory note and 314 interest thereon and for foreclosure 31 of the mortgage on certain real estate securing the payment of the same I The promissory note was executed byE by-E V Fohlin to L C Crossman and assigned by Crossman to James Thompson I was alleged that Fohlin I sold and conveyed the real estate by conveye which the note was received to John L I Lawson and J M Kennelly who agreed to pay the note held by Thompson I Thomp-son and Lawson and Kennelly alleged in their answer that they conveyed the premises to Thompson at his request re-quest in full satisfaction of the note After the hearing Judge Hues took the case under advisement
