I THE BIGHT to enjoy life liberty and the pursuit of happiness is sometimes in terpreted to mean the right for one to make an infernal nuisance of himself The other day the speaker of the Nebraska house of representatives ordered n member to stop smoking while the houes was In session whereupon the undignified and impudent solon said I claim the right to smoke under the guarantees jif the Declaration of independence and the constitution of tho United States and of the state Nebraska which secure to every man the right to en joy life liberty and the pursuit of happiness happi-ness The member persisted in his of fense until the sorgeantatarms ejected him from the house and no doubt the fel low feels that one of his rights as an American citizen has been denied him and that the speaker of tho Nebraska house is more autocratic and cruel than the Czar himself
