Trouble Between Strikers and Deputies SCOTTDALE Pa April 18A hundred coke strikers attacked the deputy sheriffs at Leisenring last night Shots were exchanged ex-changed and the guards finally compelled the strikers to retire but retre only after one of the deputies was shot and it is feared fatally wounded Sheriff McCornick will now ask the governor to call out the troops again At the offices of the Frick and McClure companies ic is said a few more men re turned to work this morning The labor leaders are greatly depressed over their failure to get men at work to come out The men yet remaining out demand that those at work be brought out and the Italians driven away within two days oral or-al will return and claim their places The situation ous with the leaders is becoming er
