Show WestBtfl. I By ALICE MITCHELL 295-1156 The topic of weather continues con-tinues to dominate the residents resi-dents of the city and the snow brought driving hazards and cold weather. The snow has provided fun for skiers and others who love winter sports. Last Monday night the Ver-nile Ver-nile Hesses went tubing on the hill near Muir School. Other families were there also. Garth Hogan has made winter win-ter fun for children with his horse. They hitched their sleighs to the horse and were pulled up and down 10th North. Among the happy sleigh riders were the Carl Johnson children: Amy and Beth Parish: the children of Linda Parish and others. Sherrie Johnson spends her spare time writing lessons for the general boards of the LDS Church. She is writing lessons for the Primary Merry Miss class. The West Bountiful 7th Ward Elders Quorum attended an overnighter on Friday and Saturday. They were at the lodge in Faiview. Everyone contributed to the lunch and enjoyed the winter days. Choir practice is held every Sunday morning at the home of Harriet Stephens. All those J who enjoy singing should . attend. I The First Ward Ward Con- ference will be held Feb. 18 and Sunday the 22nd. Dixie and John Taft journeyed jour-neyed to Roy to visit John's father and mother. They also visited with John's brother., Wayne, who was down from Washington. The Pcpe Updikes are moving mov-ing to Texas in the near tuture. Recently they were in Chicago attending the wedding of Pete's younger sister. The Walter Elsbys entertained enter-tained their widows study class at dinner last Sunday. Rod Knight, who stays with the Loyd Pagets. is off crutches crutch-es and seems to be doing well after surgery on his knee. Valentine's Day was made special for a group of w omen in the First Ward. The MIA treated tre-ated them to dinner and fun. -Those in charge were Mark '; Page. Doug Martin. Jason Scott. Mike Bateman. Paul Curtis. Bill Flanders and Linda Scott. The John Pack Camp DUP will hold their regular meeting on Feb. 19. The meeting will be held at Signe Jensen's home. Anyone interested in joining the camp should contact Dora Webb, president. |
