Show Golden Years Center Events The Golden Years Center will be closed to observe two presidential days. Feb. 12 and 16. MEMBERSHIPS are now available for $6 at the desk. Any senior citizen may purchase purch-ase the membership and carry the card, often receiving benefits be-nefits by showing the card. Get them at the desk in the center. If there are any people who would like to give some volunteer volun-teer hours assisting in the center cen-ter or telephoning shut-ins or visiting those at convalescent homes, leave your name at the desk. There are always volunteers volun-teers needed for various duties, or services which the center gives. You may call 295-3479 295-3479 for further information. THE MONTHLY luncheop will be on Feb. 26 at 12 noon, be sure to make reservations before that date. The G.Y. Jazz Band has expanded ex-panded with new members and instruments. They are now rehearsing re-hearsing each Friday at 10a.m. in the center. Their music is so lively and toe-tapping that usually there are several couples cou-ples dancing during the rehear sals. Their lively tunes just call for a dance or two. THE BAND is being requested re-quested to play for some of the elementary schools and church groups as well as for convalescent homes. They have become quite popular as entertainers. Don Jones is president of the group. John Stahle is director with Paul Kreutzer. assistant director. MARGARET Graham is secretary. Lillian Schoeler. treasurer and also recording secretary. There are presently 1 8 members mem-bers in the band and they play saxophone, violins, guitars, harmonicas and bazoos. They also have vocalists and specialty spe-cialty numbers.
