Show 350 East Residents May Express Ideas NORTH SALT LAKE Residents of 350 East will have an opportunity to express ex-press their ideas and concerns over a proposed prop-osed street improvement district at an upcoming up-coming March city council meeting. MAYOR ROBERT Palmquist announced that a meeting will be held March 3 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the possibility possibil-ity of improving the condition of 350 East. Properly owners involved are invited to meet with the C'ty council and speak for or against the improvement district. CITY ENGINEER Fred Campbell urged (he council to set up meeting iih landowners land-owners so that the residents can express their ideas, while at the same time being involved in the actual planning of the project. Mayor Palmquist said he wants to see the cost of storm drains included in the project so the city doesn't have to come up w ith the money to fund additional storm drainage needs in the district. IF THE drains are paid for within the district provisions, he said the city "doesn't get stuck with it" at a later date. Mr. Campbell said the city shouldn't act on the project until opinions are received from participating landowners. THE CITY'S purpose in considering the improvement district is to improve road conditions along 350 East. No mention was made by Mr. Campbell or the council as to what the specific improvements would be or what the probable cost of the project might entail, mdm |
