Bids received were from Haleco Excavating for $27,922.50; Frank George, $44,060.95; E. K. Knutsen, $64,338.50 and Remco Construction $35,248.75. The engineer's estimate es-timate was $25,522. The contract con-tract was awarded Haleco Excavating for $27,922.50. The company has 10 days to post bond and sign the contract, then 30 days to complete the work. The Guenter & Hosell Neumann subdivision received final approval. ART MAXWELL gave a report on the well water at site three. He said the well can pump 300 gallons per minute without putting sand into the system-. The state report has not been received as to the quality of the water. Attorney Gerald Hess briefed the council on the law suit pending which was brought by the citizens of Compton Bench. THERE WAS a lengthy discussion dis-cussion on the 1400 North Road. The Ivory Company has acquired land in the area, except ex-cept .07 acres owned by Jim Moon. A 60 foot wide road is required in this area. There is the question of condemnation of this small piece of land which is needed for the 60 foot wide road. TESTIMONIALS were heard from Mr. Moon and a number of involved neighbors and the Ivory Company concerning con-cerning this important road. No decision was made on this matter but the Council members will again take a look at the site and do some further study before the next regular council meeting. . Attorney Hess and Council-men Council-men voiced opinions on this matter as did Dean Swaner and Louis Barnett who were visitors.
