Show Mare Island Chapel Setting For Marriage of Miss Kathleen Reter of Ivins The Mare Island Chapel was the setting May 27, for the marriage of Miss Kathleen Reber of Ivins and Marvin Otis Espich, Fire Con'.flman of the U. S. Navy, the chapel minister officiating. Announcement of the marriage is being made this week by the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Reber of Ivins. Mr. Espich is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Espich of Indianapolis, Indian-apolis, Ind. and is a graduate of the State College of Indiana. He has been with the U. S. Navy for more than a year. The couple met at Mare Island where Mrs. Espich has been employed em-ployed as a shipyard welder for the past 15 months, having acquired ac-quired the rating of first class welder. Prior to leaving for Mare Island, she graduated from the lower division of the Dixie junior college. For the ceremony the bride wore a smart three piece ensemble of powder blue wool with orchid corsage. Friends in Mare Island were with the couple for the marriage, a dinner following at a down town cafe. In early June the groom returned re-turned to his sea duty in the southwest Pacific and Mrs. Espich continued her employment at the shipyard. She arrived home last Friday to visit her parents and other relatives and will be honored with a shower at the home of her parents. She also plans to spend part of her vacation in Indianapolis Indianapo-lis visiting her husband's family. |
