Show Local Hereford breeders have top performing bulls The Lyle Taylor family of Vernal were owners of the top performing Hereford bulls at the two major bull-testing stations sta-tions in Utah recently. A yearling Hereford bull named LI Carpenter 83 was the top gaining Hereford bull at the BYU bull test. He gained 3.96 pounds a day over the 135 day test. He also made the most efficient gain utilizing only 5.78 pounds of feed per pound of gain. From a two year old heifer, he had a weaning weight of 681 and a 365 day weight of 1162. His frame score was 6.5. In the sale that followed the test, he was the high selling bull over all breeds, joined the Huston Robinson family.
