Show 1 Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee Reception Honors New Married Pair A 'wedding reception, honor-' ing Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walters, was held here Saturday evening with a very larga crowd in attendance. at-tendance. The bride, the former Marilyn Mari-lyn Snyder, of El Monte, Calif., was beautiful in the traditional white satin wedding gown. Her finger-tip veil of bride's illusion was edged in lace. LaMar Neilson, a close friend of the groom, was master of ceremonies and announced the following program numbers: vocal vo-cal duet, Louise and Jane Liu-dell, Liu-dell, accompanied by Lu Anne McDonald; reading, "Mrs. Walter Meyer; vocal duet, Elaine and Theora Wright, accompanied by Don Mayhew, and a vocal solo, by Lynn John, accompanied by Hazel Walters. ! Assisting with the gifts were Mrs. Lyle Young, Mrs. Leland Wright and Ruth Walters. In charge of the serving were: Mrs. Elden Liddell, Mrs. Ervin Murphy, Mrs. Frank Murphy, Mrs. Rachel Neilsen and Mrs. Carl Van Tassell. The young couple were married mar-ried Dec. 8th in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple, after which they left for a honeymoon to Calif. The groom is leaving for the armed forces on the 12th of the month. Those from out of the Basin attending the reception were two missionary companions of the groom, LaMar Holman and Lynn John, of Provo. They were accompanied by Mrs. Holman and Miss Betty Duncan. A large crowd of friends from Bridgeland and Arcadia gathered one evening last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Reese Clayburn for an evening of visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Clay-burn Clay-burn were recently married and were presented with a lovely gift from their friends. , Mr. and Mrs. Reed Stansfield and family are settled in the house on their Indian lease, after af-ter having their home destroyed by fire Sunday, Dec. 28th. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Liddell and girls took their son, Ronald, to Provo, Sunday, where he will resume his studies at the BYU. Mr. and Mrs. Elden Brady are driving a new Mercury car. Mrs. "Sadie Brundage, of Rooj-evelt, Rooj-evelt, is visiting her daughters here, Viola Shephard and Mary Liddell. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Neilsen and boys, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Mal-colm Walters were Sundav dinner din-ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Young at Mt. Emmons, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Mirl Jennings, LuJean Jennings and Bertie Lisonbee Lis-onbee were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Mills, at Neola, Sundav. Sun-dav. New Year's dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lisonoee were, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Brady. Lloyd, Carol Ann and Darleen, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lisonbee, Mr.' and Mrs. Sherwood Lisonbee. Lison-bee. , , Mr. and Mrs. Terry Halladav returned to their home in Salt Lake the first of last week, after af-ter spending the holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Halladay. They were accompanied accom-panied back to the city bv their sister, Judy, for a few days. Malcolm Walters returned home Friday from ' a visit to Tooele and Salt, Lake. |
