Show Active Resident Of Tilyton Dies Following Illness MYTON (Special). Homer Robinson, Rob-inson, 69, died Friday about 2 p.m. at his home after a lingeringg illness. ill-ness. He was born Aug.. 22, 1885 at Jamestown, Kansas, a son of Wm. H. and Eliza Robinson. It was here he received his education and became a teacher. He married Emma Pfister, Aug. 28, 1915 at Jamestown. They , came to Myton in 1917 and purchased pur-chased a farm near here and engaged en-gaged in farming, and also taught at the Antelope school. He then moved to Salt Lake City, where he was employed by the Salt Lake Hardware Co. Later he went East, residing in Ohio for a short time, while employed in the U. S. Steel Mills, before returning to his farm near Mvton in 192R He purchased the Tingley Grocery Gro-cery Store in 1937 and he and his wife carried on that business until about three years ago when ill health forced him to sell the store and retire. ' He served as Mvton citv rlerk j j during the past 10 years and tendered ten-dered his resignation to take effect ef-fect January 1. 1955. He was a member of the Methodist church of Jamestown, Kansas and a member mem-ber of the Myton Lions Club.. Surviving are his widow, of Myton; My-ton; 2 sons, William H., Salt Lake City, and Max S., of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 3 daughters, Mrs. Cleone (Lahoma) Sproul, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Wednal (Viola) Workman, of Layton, and Miss Faye Robinson, who is attending the University of Utah in Salt Lake City; 8 grandchildren; grand-children; a sister, Mrs. Earl Ramsey, Ram-sey, of Jamestown, Kansas. Funeral services were conducted in the Presbyterian church, Monday Mon-day at 1 p.m. by Rev. Irwin Bollinger, Bol-linger, of Wasatch Academy. Prelude Pre-lude and postlude music was by Mrs. O. A. Dart. Vocal solos, "Lead Kindly Light," and "Perfect Day," were rendered by Lowell Babcock. Interment was in the Myton City Cemetery, under the direction of Olpin Mortuary.. Rev. Bollinger dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Floyd Lamb, Rex Lamb, S. F. Mortensen, W. H. Linck, Lee Cooper and Syerl Dennis. |
