Show New Babies Arrive At Ballard Homes Mr. and Mrs. 'Vaughn Simper are the parents of a baby boy born at the Roosevelt hospital recently. Mrs. Simper was taken tak-en to a Salt Lake City hospital after the birth of her son, later returned home, then taken to the Roosevelt hospital again. Their three older children were taken care of at the home of Mrs. Simper's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Davis Morrill, at Tri-deli; Tri-deli; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Lar-sen Lar-sen are the parents of a baby girl born at the Roosevelt hospital hos-pital last week. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tru-jillo. Tru-jillo. of Roosevelt, were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Coston, Sunday, January Jan-uary 21. Several from the Ballard ward attended funeral services for John A. Angus at the Ioka ward chapel on January 27. Nineteen officers and teachers teach-ers of the Ballard ward M.I. A. attended the stake leadership meeting at the stake center in Roosevelt Wednesday evening, Mrs. Earl Gardner was a substitute sub-stitute helper in the Alterra kitchen on Wednesday. Mr, and Mrs. Ernest Betts and Mr, and Mrs. George Bracken Brack-en spent Thursday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Sullivan in Roosevelt, the occasion oc-casion being the Sullivans' 35th wedding anniversary. i Miss Lorraine Hullinger, who is attending the B.Y.U. at Provo, Pro-vo, spent the week-end at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hullinger. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Olsen and sons visited with relatives and friends In Neola Sunday after noon. Darrell McMullin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McMullin was ill with flu last week and missed several days of school. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jenkins received word of the death of Mrs. Harvey Jenkins in Idaho Falls last week. Due to illness in their home, they were unable un-able to attend the funeral services. ser-vices. I Mr. and Mrs. Keith Snyder and family were week-end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham. The Snyders recently moved from Altonah to Huntingtpn tg spend the winter, Mrs. Jerry Hatch was reported report-ed on the sick list last week. Mrs. Ernest Betts took her place in the Ballard school kitchen on Tuesday. I Kathleen, the small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Johnson John-son was taken to the Roosevelt hospital during the week for medical care. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Molyneux and new daughter, of Salt Lake City, were visitors at the Eric Stolla home over the week-end. Mrs. Molyneux is the former Ruth Stolla. Mrs. Raymond Eldredge entertained en-tertained a few friends Saturday Satur-day afternoon in honor of the birthday of her son, Clark. John H. Cook returned home Wednesday, after spending a month visiting in Wisconsin. Mrs. Annie Anderson, of Mt. Home is visiting at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McMullin. Ray Clark, son of Alva Clark, ! who has been away working since May, is at home for awhile. Willis Miller, of Montwel. and his son, Lyn, who has been employed em-ployed with the Safeway Co., Mrs. Joe Gleaton and baby, of j Price, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Coston on Jan. 20. Lyn Miller has entered j the armed service. j Several of the Relief Society members sang- with the stake Singing Mothers at the funeral services for Mrs. Elbert Chandler Chand-ler at Avalon on Tuesday. Other ward members attended the funeral fun-eral services, also. Mrs. W. T. Swisher and daughters and Mrs. E. C. Cos-ton Cos-ton attended a farewell party at the Baptist church Thursday evening, January 25. for Mr. and Mrs. Bob Fuelling. Other Ballard residents who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Olen Perry-man Perry-man and family, and Rev. Charles Ray. Clarence Betts, who is employed em-ployed at Salt Lake City, spent the week-end with his family. The small son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Parrish was in the Roosevelt hospital recently for treatment of a bad cold. |
