Show Services Honor John L. Dalton I'AHAGONAII- Funeral services for John (Jack) Lewis Dalton Jr. age 63, were held in the Paragonuh Ward Chapel on Wed, June 30. Mr. Dalton passed away early Mon. at the Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City, Hishop Kenneth G. Topham conducted the funeral service. John Carl Dalton gave the family prayer in the Relief Society room where the viewing was held. Mrs. Mclva Barton played the organ prelude and postlude music. Larry Hatch sang "In the Garden," accompanied by his wife, Manon. Howard Joseph offered the invocation. The speaker was Boyd Robinson. Mrs. Hazel Jean Robinson played saxophone, selections accompanied by Mrs. Wilma Lamoreaux, After closing remarks by the Bishop the choir, sang "Abide with Me, Tis Eventide" and the benediction was by Thomas B. Cardon. At the cemetery the dedicatory prayer was given by Alan Stubbs. Pall bearers were Earl Snowball, Keith Averett, Thomas ' B. Cardon Jr., Dell Judd, Wade, Helms and Bill Rollins. Mr. Dalton was born May 2, ' 1913 in Paragonah to John Lewis and Nellie Reese Dalton. He married Emma Bastian May 31. ' 1935 in Paragonah. This union was solemnized later in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Dalton was a farmer and a miner and was employed at the Iron Mines for many years. Survivors include his wife, a son and two daughters, John Carl, Cedar City, Mrs. Bill' (Annette) Inglesby, Salt Lake' City, Mrs. Alan (Helen Jean) Stubbs, Parowan, 10 grandchildren grand-children and two brothers, David H. and William N. (Bill) Dalton' both of Paragonah. Those who traveled from a ' distance for the Dalton funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Inglesby and sons Gene and Shane of Salt Lake City, their friends, Mr. and 1 Mrs. Ross Turner and daughter i and Mrs. Randy Wittenkamp and i her children. Mr. Inglesby's mother and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Tracy came from Pipe Springs, Ariz. Mr. and Mrs. Rob Robinson i came from Spanish Fork. |
