Show Funeral Services Held f 0 Accident Victim Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Saturday afternoon for Samuel Sam-uel W. Leigh, who was electrocuted electro-cuted in a farm accident on Tuesday, June 24. The services were held in the Third ward chapel cha-pel with Bishop A. E. Whatcott presiding. Mr. Leigh, with his brother and nephew, Webster and Granger Leigh, were instantly killed when a hay derrick they were moving at the Leigh farm came In contact with electric wires leading to a pump on the farm. Speakers at .the services were John M. Brown, William R. Palmer, Pal-mer, and David L. Sargent, with remarks by Bishop Whatcott. Invocation was by C. William Macfarlane, benediction by Samuel Sam-uel F. Leigh, and the dedication of the grave by Robert Gibson of St. George. - The musical program included two selections, "In The Garden," and "Oh My Father," by the Lions quartet composed of Her-schel Her-schel Neeley, Reed Roberts, How-ard How-ard Wood and Forest Hunter, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Reed Roberts, and a vocal solo, "Face- to Face" by Marion Bowler, accompanied by Mrs. George Pace, both of St. George. Mrs. Luana Riddle was at the organ. Pall bearers were Warren Bui-loch, Bui-loch, Ray Lee, Kenneth Imlay, Leonard Smith, Warren Green and Clifford Halsey, representing the local Elks lodge. The flowers flow-ers were In charge of the ladies of the Thircward Relief Society. |
