Show Eyner Nielson Well Flows 96 Bhls. Oil In 24 Hours Carter Oil Co.'s Eyner Nielson Niel-son wildcat in the County Pool near Duchesne, has flowed 96 barrels of 27-degree gravity oil in a day on production testing around 4,600 feet. The well could do considerably consider-ably better than that on a pump test, it is presumed. Flow was from the Green River formation and "cuts" of water and basic sediment averaged aver-aged about 18 per cent. Carter, through selective perforation, is seeking to establish both the best productive zone as well as to effect a water shut off. Vitally Important This effort is vitally important. impor-tant. It had been thought, as a result of performance of the County Pool Unit No. 1 wildcat to the north, that water at the 4, 600-foot level in the pool was comatus, "inborn" and inseparable insep-arable from the1 oil. Drilling of the Eyner Nielson well, however, apparently disclosed dis-closed the water and oil exist in somewhat conventional arrangement. ar-rangement. During its production testing, Carter perforated casing between be-tween 4,520-4,546 and 4,604-4,623 4,604-4,623 feet. Gas rose to the surface sur-face in 20 minutes and oil flowed flow-ed to the surface in 1 hour and 40 minutes at rate of four barrels bar-rels an hour. |
