Show deception Honors Fewlyweds A wedding reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer El-mer Huber, Friday evening, Nov. 30, in honor of their son, Merlin Huber and Darlene Lamb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lamb, of Ioka. The bride wore a street dress of red silk with lace yoke inset and a corsage of carnations. Those present were the bride and groom's parents, the Ray, Frank, Dean, Glenn, Lynn, Darrell Dar-rell Huber families, Elroy Walker Walk-er family and Kenneth Huber, of Lapoint; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lamb, Adele Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. Byrell Lamb, Thelma Daun Lamb, and Joe Stelle, of Ioka; Mr. and Mrs. Berlin Jensen, of Brigham City; and Sylvan Rich-ens, Rich-ens, of Roosevelt. They will make their home in Lapoint. A shower and dance were held in the Lapoint chapel Thursday afternoon and night in honor of the newlyweds. They received many beautiful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard May-nard May-nard and two small sons visited at the home of Jiggs Johnson at Deep Creek, over the weekend. week-end. Mrs. Maynard and Mrs. Johnson are sisters. Mrs. Maynard May-nard will be remembered as Mildred Batchelor. Mr. and Mrs. Thurmer Rasmussen Ras-mussen visited with their daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lowe, of Salt Lake City during the week. Jerry Lowe, their grandson, accompanied them home for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Long and baby, of Duchesne, spent the weekend in Lapoint visiting her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Char-lie Bigelow. Otto Bisel and daughter, Myrtle, Myr-tle, of Bountiful, visited in Lapoint La-point over the weekend. They are former residents of Lapoint. Myrna Taylor, who is attending attend-ing the University of Utah at Salt Lake City, visited her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Taylor, Tay-lor, over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Johnson and baby, of Wolf Point, Mont., visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Quince Johnson, at Deep Creek over the weekend. |
