Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Milburn this week were Mr. and Mrs. Crawford Craw-ford and son, Don, of Murray, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Marklin. of Midway. Mr. and Mrs. James Larsen, of Arcadia, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Sorensen, of Myton, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Sorensen, of Roos. evelt, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Washburn Wash-burn and A. V. Sorensen, of Ioka, spent Monday evening ot last week with their mother. Mrs. Olive Sorensen, the occasion occa-sion being her birthday anniversary. anniver-sary. Mrs. Craig Caldwell and children, chil-dren, of Ioka, are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fau-sett. Fau-sett. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Lemon are spending a few days in Salt Lake City as guests of their daughter and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. George Davis. Mrs. Sherwood and son, Bob, of Levan, are visiting at the homes of her daughters, Mrs. Howard Jones, Mrs. Paul Foote and Mrs. Richard Spencer. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Gentry during pheasant hunting were Mrs. L. S. Saunders, daughter, Kaye, and son, Hi, of Salt Lake City; Dr. John Sharp and son, Byron, also of Salt Lake. William Gentry, of Myton, and daughter, Mrs. Afton Seel'ey of Salt Lake City, called on friends in Ioka, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Smith Mecham and son, Ray, and Mrs. Charles Richens called at the Virgil Mecham home during the week and report that Mr. Mecham is slowly recovering from his recent re-cent illness. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Peterson and three children, of Heber, Roy Peterson, of Park City; Mr. and Mrs. Roy French and son, and Arnold Webb, of Salt Lake City, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Webb and enjoyed hunting hunt-ing over the weekend. Mrs. John Angus had as visitors visi-tors during the week, Mrs. Thel-ma Thel-ma Cook and sons, Lynn and Edgar, Ed-gar, of Bluebell; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Remund and daughter, Connie Lee, of Duchesne, and Eldon Merrell and son-in-law, of Vernal. Marie Benson went to Salt Lake City, Sunday. Mrs. Etta Webb, Mrs. Lila French, Mrs. Norma Peterson, Mrs. Melba Webb, Lee Webb and Merrell Peterson, went to Rangely, Saturday, to visit Mr. and Mrs. Ben- Webb. Thev also visited Mrs. James Clark and new baby daughter in Vernal. SPEAKERS AT SACRAMENT MEETING Sunday Sacrament meeting speakers were Oral Assay, Clifford Clif-ford Drollinger, Vaughn Simper, Sim-per, Barth Stone and President Hollis Hullinger. A musical number, "In the Garden," was sung by Evelyn Fausett and Cherrell Drollinger, accompanied accompan-ied by Gertrude Russell. Mr. and Mrs. Barth Stone, of Salt Lake City, are visiting with Barth's Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Stone. Garth is in the armed service. He is on a ten day furlough and has been stationed at Ft. Ord, California. When he reports back he will go overseas. The party held Friday night in the ward house by the First Elders' Quorum, was greatly enjoyed. en-joyed. Seventeen were present. A very delicious pheasant breakfast was served at the Henry Hen-ry Nelson home, Sunday morning, morn-ing, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Sweatt of Vernal, being hosts to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Nelson, of Vernal. |
