Show SCOUTS PASS TESTS Boy Scouts Robert Duke, Jay Mecham and Michael Yergen-sen Yergen-sen passed their Tenderfoot tests and received their kerchiefs, rings and pine, Sunday at Primary Pri-mary class at the- LDS ward chapel. Mrs. Jack Gingell was called to Salt Lake City last week by the death of her son-in-law, Ben. jamin H. Jolley, who' died Monday Mon-day at a Moab hospital following follow-ing a heart attack during the deer hunting season. Mr. Jolley was a frequent visitor to Myton when he, his wife and son, Benny, Ben-ny, were guests at the Gingell home. Mr. Gingell and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gingell went to Salt Lake City, Thursday to be pres- ent at the funeral services at noon, Thursday. Interment was in Wasatch Lawn Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Cleone Sproul and small daughter, of Salt Lake City, were visitors at the home of Mrs. Sproul's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson, during dur-ing the pheasant hunting season. sea-son. Visitors during pheasant season sea-son at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Rollen Duke were' Mrs Duke's mother, Mrs. Kate Cowley; Cow-ley; her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Waite, all of Vernal; her brother, Sam Cowley, of Morgan, and Claude Cowley, of Price. Other visitors were Paul Raumfelt, of Layton; Blaine Dixon and Guy Miller, of Morgan; Charles Menzie and Irel Longhurst, of Price. Mrs. Ole Peterson enjoyed a weekend visit from her daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bingham, and family, of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Payne, of Provo, were weekend visitors at the home of Mrs. J. R. Bywater, Mrs. Payne's mother. Acel Bingham, of Dragerton, was pheasant hunting in this district during the weekend. He visited at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. LaVor Dennis. R. C. Walker spent the weekend week-end in Salt Lake City, visiting his wife and daughter, returning return-ing to Myton, Sunday afternoon. Visitors at the home of Mrs. Betty Bertola during the pheasant pheas-ant hunt were, Mr. and Mrs. Max Bertola, of Salt Lake City. Miss Alice Todd went to Salt Lake City, Monday morning for a short visit with friends and a few days shopping, j Mrs. Lydia Peatross returned home from a week's visit in Price, where she received medical med-ical attention. As she returned home she visited her daughter, Mrs. Carlos Roberts, in Orem, and then went to Salt Lake City for a short visit at the' home of her sons, Robert and Max. Albert Tanner took his wife to Price, Monday, to seek medical medi-cal attention. She became ill Sunday and was taken to the Roosevelt Hospital. Calvin Monks and Mrs. Frank Liddell and small daughter went to Salt Lake City, Thursday Thurs-day to' take their mother, Mrs. Frank Monks, from the hospital where she recently underwent surgery. Mrs. Monks will convalesce con-valesce at the home of her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Ha Wells, in Salt, Lake City, and Mrs. Liddell and daughter will remain to care for her till she is sufficiently recovered re-covered to return home. Calvin returned that evening. Mrs. Marion Mott went to Salt Lake City recently to be with her husband, who is confined to the Veterans' Hospital, under treatment. Miss Lutie Mott joined join-ed her, Sunday. Mrs. W. E. Burton returned home Friday from a 2 weeks' visit at the home of her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Glen Kearney, in Port, land, Oregon. She was accompanied accom-panied by her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Biltz and children, who brought her from Salt Lake City and remained for the pheasant hunt. Mr. and Mrs. William Case, of Duchesne, were visitors Sunday Sun-day at the Monks ranch on South Myton Bench. Miss Helen Hemphill, who is attending Henegar's Business College in Salt Lake City, spent the1 weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Denzel Hemphill. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck during the pheasant hunting season, were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wooley and 3 sons and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Whiteman of Salt Lake City. Miss Joan Gingell and Mrs. Jack Mieure came from Salt Lake City to visit at the home of their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gingell, during the weekend. week-end. Other visitors at the Gingell Gin-gell home were Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Merrill, also of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wood-ard Wood-ard enjoyed a weekend visit from Mr. Woodard's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Casper and daughter, La-Neva, La-Neva, who came from Heber to help hunt the elusive pheasants. |
