Show New DUP Group To Be Organized The Daughters of Utah Pioneers Pio-neers held a meeting at the home of Mrs. Hazel Walters, Thursday afternoon to organize a new camp for the Arcadia and Bridge-land area. County officers who were present to help organize were: Mrs. Mat-tie Mat-tie Edwards, of Roosevelt; Mrs. Maxine Burdick and Mrs. Ar-vella Ar-vella Moon, of Duchesne. Mrs. Edwards was accompanied by Mrs. Jesse Allen, captain of the Roosevelt camp. Also, Mrs. Ora Holgate, of Arcadia, who is president of the Duchesne County Coun-ty Daughters of Pioneers. The meeting was in charge of Mrs. Mattie Edwards, and the follow-in follow-in gofficers were elected: Captain, Cap-tain, Ethel Taylor; first vice-captain, vice-captain, Cecila Gilbert; second vice-captain, Hazel Walters; secretary sec-retary and treasurer, Erma Van Tassell; registrar, Ida Dean Hor-rocks; Hor-rocks; historian, Mrs. Golda Jensen; custodian of relics, Mrs. Vera Larsen; chaplain, Mrs. La-Verna La-Verna Lusty; chorister, Mrs. Lois Wright; organist, Mrs. Lois Stansfield; parliamentarian, El-va El-va Lisonbee. A delicious luncheon was served to eighteen ladies. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gail returned re-turned from Salt Lake City after attending funeral services for Mrs. Gails brother, Reed Betts. The Gails were accompanied to Salt Lake by their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thure Carlson of Roosevelt. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald during the pheasant season were Mr. Fitz-geralds Fitz-geralds brothers Guy and Dale of Salt Lake and Ferron Maxwell, Max-well, also of Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fitzgerald Fitz-gerald attended a wedding for a relative at Hunter, Utah last Friday. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vere Neilson on Sunday Sun-day were: Jack McCarthey of Price, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Kelly and family, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Kelly of Midway and Mr. and Mrs. Ward Johnson and children of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Long of Duchesne visited Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor. Sharron Neilsen arrived home last week from Oakland, Calif., where he has been the past four months. Mrs. Lillian Liddell, of Salt Lake City, is visiting at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elden Liddell. Lid-dell. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Pease and sons, Monty and Bruce, of West Jordan, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Lisonbee, Lison-bee, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Walters and children, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Walters. Ronald Lisonbee left Monday for Salt Lake City, where he will report at Fort Douglas to enter the Army. COMRADRY NIGHT Tuesday evening the Jr. Gleaner Girls, assisted by their class leader, Helen Neilson, held their Comradry night where they honored Hazel Walters, a Golden Gleaner.
