Show High School Students Participate In Model U.N. Meet Twenty students from the Cedar Ce-dar City High School are in Salt Lake City this week attending the annual Model United Nations General Assembly being staged on the er"ous of the University of Uian. The delegation Includes two groups of six-man delegates, a representative to the Colloquium, a press representative, a photographer, photo-grapher, and five observers. The six-man delegation representing repre-senting Thailand have gone prepared pre-pared to support the maintenance of the UN Police Force and to stimulate active opposition to the admission of Red China. Thailand Thai-land delegates are serving on committees making a study and an investigation of these two important im-portant Issues. Members of this delegation Include Jack Lunt, Pat Truman, Harriet Isom, Rex Ahlstrom, Christie Bauer and Judy Ashcroft. The other delegates include Don Seegmiller, Ronald Carpenter, Carpen-ter, Many Ann Palmer, Vicki Wheelwright, Charles Moore and Norma Jean Randall. Tl ey will represent South Korea. Their main purpose at this assembly will be to perpetuate the admittance admit-tance of South Korea to the UN and the reunification of North and South Korea. A luncheon invitation to influential nations has been extended by this group for the purpose of gaining support sup-port for their resolution which calls for reunification of Korea. South Korea is serving on the committees looking to UNESCO and World Trade. Bonnie Clark will attend as the press representative Geri Peterson Peter-son the photographer and Gordon Gor-don Carlson will serve as representative repre-sentative to the Colloquium. Observers from Cedar High Include In-clude Mary Ann Murdock, Phyl lis Buhanan, Linda Caiison ar.d Chrrt'c Frrhr.er. Cedar High School boasts two of the most high-spirited delegations dele-gations at the assembly and it is expected that they will keep things "hopping" in behalf of their interests at the Model Assembly. |
