Show $ 1 5 0 0 Damage Estimated on Car Accident I Mrs. Ralph Thompson and Darwin Cottle, both of Cedar City, were involved in a rather unusual un-usual accident Wednesday evening, ev-ening, Apr. 5 in which damage to t.ieir two 19(51 automobiles amounted to over $1500. Both Mrs. Thompson and Mr. Cottle were taken to the Iron County hospital following the accident, ac-cident, between 900 and 1050 West on Harding ave, but released re-leased after treatment of lacerations lacer-ations about the head. Mrs. Thompson was driving a 19(51 Pontiac Station Wagon North on a new street known as Hamilton Avenue. She was cross-ing cross-ing Harding Avenue in route to the parking area of the Cedar West Stake House. Mr. Cottle was traveling East on Harding. Mrs. Thompson first struck the 19(51 Ford driven by Mr. Cottle as he was swerving to avoid the collision. Upon impact Mr. Cottle's Cot-tle's door flew open and he turn-c turn-c 1 his automobile left to avoid being thrown out. That swung him back to strike the Thompson Thomp-son car. The front wheels locked lock-ed and the two cars continued East, locked side by side, for approximately ap-proximately &) feet. Investigation officer was Jack Miller of the Cedar City police force. He estimated the damage at over $1500 but indicated that no citation was issued. |
