Show NEWCASTLE NEWS NOTES by Norma Christensen Lee Hulet. four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hulet, fell off a trailer last week and fell on a stick and cut his, leg. It cut really deep into the muscle and required 18 stitches to close. General conference of the LDS church called some people to Salt Lake over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hart and four children Journeyed to Nephi where they spent a few hours visiting Shirley's brother and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn James Ksplin, for a few hours before continuing on to Orem. There they visited Shirley's sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. DeRay Pugh. Shirley and the children stayed in Orem and Charles commuted com-muted to Salt Lake City for conference. Also attending conference were Bishop and Mrs. Mont Sorensen and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Chris-tensen. Chris-tensen. They left Wednesday night and stayed until Sunday. Jean's folks, Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Baldwin of Alton, came up and watched their children, and Boyd's youngsters stayed with Russell and Katherine Christen-sen Christen-sen while their folks were gone. While in the capital city, the two couples visited with Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Beacham, former residents of New Castle. Sherman is attending medical school at the University. We are happy to have Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hart home after their extensive visit in California with their daughter and her family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Vern (Mary Lou) Malley of Monterey Park, Calif. Mrs. P."berta Clark and daughter daugh-ter Bonnie, of Cedar City, were visitors last week at their folks' home, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Piatt and also the Warren Piatt home. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Woolsey and children traveled to Baker, Nev. last week to visit Marion's sister r and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Baker. Saturday the Woolsey Wool-sey family were visitors In St. George at the home of Mrs. Jeanette Woolsey. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Prisbey and son Jesse and daughter Mrs. Katherine Gifford, all of New Harmony, were visitors at the home of another daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Clif-ford Hulet. Mr. and Mrs. George Jolley and four daughters were Sunday visitors in Kingston and Antimony Anti-mony with friends and relatives there. Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Thomas and family from Enterprise were visitors Saturday at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Christen-sen Christen-sen and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Christensen. |
