Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING 1 Mrs. Alden Heap and granddaughter, grand-daughter, Cindy, traveled to Rosemead, Calif., where Cindy met her new baby sister and was reunited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hakenson, after af-ter being with her grandparents for a month. Mrs. Heaps plans to spend a week with her daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law. She will he accompanied home by another daughter, Launa Kae, who will spend a week of spring vacation vaca-tion in Cedar City. Launa Kae works at the Los Angeles State College. Mrs. Eldon Reese held her Pi-nochle Pi-nochle Club Wednesday night. Extra guest was Mrs. Charles Blackburn. Prizes were won by Mrs. Cluff Jolley, Mrs. Bud Bowman Bow-man and Mrs. Hubert Avedisian. A luncheon was served during the party. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Perkins, Mr. anil Mrs. Darwin Crawford i and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Dayi spent a day at V'eyo swimming. Mr. anil Mrs. Ted Nelson and family spent the week end in Las Vegas with Mr. and Mrs. Corry Parry and family. The I'ar-rys I'ar-rys are formerly from Cedar City Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bradshaw had the pleasure of having Mrs. Bradshaw's father, Wm. C. Woodbury Wood-bury at their home for the week end. He enjoyed the roport given by his grandson, Karl Bradshaw, who had just returned from a mission in Australia. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jones and small daughter, Shauna, spent a few days in Los Angeles, Calif., with the parents of Mrs. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Call B. Clark. It was a combination business and pleasure trip. Mrs. Richard Hirschi returned to her home in Salt Lake City, after spending some time with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nel-son Webster. She also spent time visiting with her in-law's, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Hirschi. Mrs. Robert Wright of Mil-ford Mil-ford visited Monday and Tuesday Tues-day in Cedar City. She attended Girl Scout Conference here and also visited her mother, Mrs. Bernice Brunson and other members mem-bers of her family. The Phi Rho Omega met on the College of Southern Utah campus arid elected new officers. offi-cers. The new president is Miss Deanne Isabell. The new secretary secre-tary is Miss Bonnie Magleby. These officers will take over next September. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Graff and family enjoyed a visit from Mrs. Graff's brother, James Adams, from Las Vegas. He is now in the Navy and is stationed at San Diego, California. Jerry Graff met his father, Mr. L. J. Graff from Santa Clara and spent a few days fishing at Lake Mead. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nielson spent the week end in Salina, Utah, with Mr. Nielson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Nielson. Mr. Carlos Black came home to spend the week end with his family. Mr. Black is working In Las Vegas. |
