Show Farewell Testimonial To Honor Jerry Ward Sunday .,. y'J V - !. If ! ' ELDER JERRY WARD A missionary farewell testimonial testi-monial will be held Sunday, April Ap-ril 16 for Elder Gerald Howard Ward, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Howard Ward, who has been called by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to fulfill a mission in New Zealand. Bishop Charles II. Gurr announces an-nounces that the testimonial will be held in the Parowan Third Ward chapel at 2 p. m. that day m connection with the regular Sacrament meeting and extends an invitation to all of Elder Ward's friends and relatives to attend. Elder Ward, who will be the eighth missionary to he called call-ed from the Third Ward since last September, will enter the LDS mission home in Salt Lake City on Monday, April 21. Jerry is an active member of the ward and is a graduate of the Parowan High School. He has attended College of Southern Utah and has served six months in the armed forces under the National Guard enlistment program. pro-gram. Speakers at the testimonial will be Clair Hulet and Elder Hubert Bent ley with remarks by Bishop Gurr and a response by the missionary. Musical numbers will include the opening and closing songs by the choir.
