Show Hospital announces new " dependency programming LAYTON - Humana Hospital Davis North, recently announced that it would be opening a new comprehensive alcoholism and drug dependency treatment program prog-ram in August. Dean Holman, executive director, direc-tor, of the hospital said that the program was being developed in conjunction with American International Inter-national Health Services, Inc. (AIHS), a company specializing in the treatment of addictive diseases. dis-eases. "We are pleased at the prospect of having an alcoholism and drug dependency help unit at HHDN," said Holman. "Addictive diseases strike approximately 10 percent of the population nationally, and although the percentage is a little lower in Utah, we still feel we have to respond to the needs of these people." Richard Bell, Administrator of Highland Ridge Hospital, an alcohol alco-hol dependency treatment center in Salt Lake City which is run by AIHS, said that the program at HHDN would involve an initial detoxification de-toxification followed by 3-4 week rehabilitation program.
