Show Harriet Sheffield Harriet Jane Young Sheffield, age 61, died at home of a brain tumor May 20, 1986. Born August 11, 1924, in Springfield, Spring-field, III., the only child of Thomas and Harriet Cornish Young. Married Mar-ried Russell Heber Sheffield June 28, 1946. in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduated from Davis High School in 1942, where she was school Historian. President of Girls Club (Zenith), and active in Speech & Drama; attended BYU. Has lived in Bountiful most of her life; Member LDS Church, Bountiful Bounti-ful 9th Ward; Has served as Primary Prim-ary president, Young Women's president, Relief Society president, presi-dent, teacher in all organizations; worked in handicapped Primary and Mutual for approx. 20 years. Has served as PTA president; president pres-ident of Pink Ladies Aux. at local hospital, donating in excess of 2,000 hours. She also provided a home for 2 Indian daughters for 7 years as part of the Indian Placement Place-ment Program. Surviving: husband. Bountiful; 3 sons and 2 daughters; Thomas Heber He-ber Sheffield, Magna; Russell Young Sheffield, Syracuse; Kevin Alexander Sheffield, South Burlington, Burl-ington, Vermont; Jeanene Shef- HARRIET JANE YOUNG SHEFFIELD field Jackson, Longmont, Colo.; Paula Sheffield Hill, Woods Cross. IS grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, Fri-day, May 23, at the Bountiful 9th Ward Chapel, with Bishop Byron Home officiating. Interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery, under the direction of Lindquist's Bountiful Boun-tiful Mortuary. |
