Show Open house slated for Earl Olson Earl E. Olson, of Bountiful, has retired after 52 years of service from the Utah Historical Department. Depart-ment. As assistant managing director of the Church Historical Department Depart-ment where he began in April 1934, he has been a historical compiler, librarian-archivist, assistant historian, histo-rian, church archivist and assistant managing director which he has held to the present time. An open house honoring him on his retirement from the historical department will be Friday afternoon. after-noon. May 30 from 2-4 p.m. at the West reception room on the 26th floor of the Church Office Building, Build-ing, 50 E. North Temple, Salt Lake City. An endless list could be made of the accomplishments of Mr. Olson. He has been a stalwart figure in the development of the Historical Department De-partment during these past 52 years cf service. He has served long and faithfully and carried out his duties and responsibilities with vim, vigor and vitality, few there are who could keep pace with him. |
