Special services were held at St. Paul's church yesterday morning at S o'clock in cefc-hratlon of the ordination of the Rev. J. H. Dennis of tho Salt Lake Episcopal Episco-pal diocese. Yesterday marked the nineteenth nine-teenth anniversary of his elevation to the rank of priesthood of the Episcopal church. After his ordination nt the St. Teter and Paul church of Chicago in ISPS he served as a priest In charse of that ca- tliedral for a period of one year. Later he became rector of the Church of the Redeemer at Klfrin. 111. Ten years nso Mr. Dennis came west at the invitation of the la to Pis hop Franklin S.- ipaldinpr to develop the mission mis-sion churches In western Colorado. He was appointed archdeacon for western Colorado and supervised all the missionary mission-ary work in that district. Sir. Dennis left Colorado two years ago. since which time he has served an rector of St. Paul's Episcopal church of thin city.
